Birthday fun

In celebration of the big 2-5 Dustin and I decided to go play for the weekend. Saturday morning we headed off to Jackson Hole. On the way, we saw these two cow moose.

Once we got to Jackson, we decided that we didn't really feel like shopping and doing the regular touristy things, so we grabbed a burger from the Cowboy Bar (the saddles are very uncomfortable, by the way, in case you didn't know) and headed into Grand Teton National Park. We saw some antelope/pronghorns (whichever they really are, I never remember) and an up-close fox.

We headed to Driggs to catch up with friends James and Wren before heading on toward Ashton for the night. Sunday dawned cold and dreary, but we decided to brave the weather and head into Yellowstone Park. In the hopes of seeing some wolves and bears, we headed north into predator country. Unfortunately, there were no predators to be seen, but we did see a couple hundred buffalo and a lot of elk. And yes, it snowed and/or rained the entire day, though it didn't seem to bother the wildlife, so we didn't mind it either (plus we had our winter coats and hats)

Oh yes, rain + dirt patches = sweet, sweet mud to roll in
We enjoyed our trip!
